Yarralumla Display Home.
An outstanding example of modern luxury living
The original building was an exgovernment semi-detached home. The neighbouring property had previously undergone extensive building and renovation work and shared a garage wall. Therefore, extra care was required during demolition of this knockdown-rebuild project to ensure the new construction left minimal impact on the adjacent building.
Overall this home stands as an outstanding example of modern luxury living and boasts a number of highly detailed fixtures and finishes.
Some examples include: acoustic ceiling panels have been covered in material matching the carpets to help insulate against noise and provide design consistency throughout the house; oversize custom made sliding doors can be used to repurpose the open plan living areas and provide privacy when required; solid timber flooring and battens are complemented by the extensive use of New York carrara marble; external steel cladding was acid washed by hand in situ to create the dramatic feature entry; and Wee Jasper stone and travertine pavers ensure the luxury finishes continue outdoors.
