Charming Reid Residence.

Filled with charming period details this home has been restored to its former glory

Attention to detail was key in this heritage restoration project with in-house sourcing of tapware, lighting, windows, and tiles chosen to emulate the original fittings of this heritage home. The garage was converted to a home studio workspace reflecting the heritage ceiling and features found inside the home.

A major sewer easement was located underground on the site creating a challenge for the proposed extension. To resolve this, foundation piers were bored four metres down to support the new building structure while also maintaining access to the sewer line without affecting the stability of the property.

This project is an example of the outstanding quality work from Monarch, nominated as finalist for the 2012 Master Builders Association Heritage Restoration award.

The standard of the finishes is also to a very high standard and we are proud of showing friends our new house. The new extension blends perfectly with the original house. You have really managed to realise our vision of a house that retains its heritage charm, but with more sunlight and space.
